Retired Racehorse Project Elects New Board Members, Advisory Council Members

The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) announced today the addition of five new members to its board of directors elected at the organization’s December board meeting:
- Vanessa Coleman, Chief Competition and Operating Officer, Equestrian Events, Inc. Vanessa succeeds Sarah Williams as Treasurer.
- Amanda Chance, Founder, Breed.Ride.Compete.
- Anne Guillory, Senior Counsel – Dispute Resolution, United States Equestrian Federation
- Audra and Gary Mandella (sharing one seat), Audra Mandella, LPC and Gary Mandella Racing, respectively
- Rosie Napravnik, Trainer, Rosie Napravnik Off-Track Sporthorses
The RRP staff and board wish to thank the directors who completed their terms of service at the conclusion of 2025: Richard Lamb, Sissy Wickes, and Sarah Williams. “As the RRP continues to grow and deliver on our goals that provide better futures for retired racehorses it is always exciting to welcome new board members who bring a wide variety of experiences within the horse industry,” said RRP board chair Neil Agate. “I am extremely excited to welcome Vanessa, Amanda, Anne, Audra, Gary, and Rosie to the RRP board and look forward to working with them. I also want to thank Richard, Sissy, and Sarah, who have given so generously of their time and experience over their terms of service.”
The RRP also welcomed the following advisory council members during 2025:
- Danielle Austin, Owner Concierge, West Point Thoroughbreds
- Kelsey Marshall Hughes, VP of Partner Relations, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Founder, Eclipse Blue Moon Aftercare
- Billy Koch, Founder and Managing Partner, Little Red Feather Racing
- Katelyn Morgan, Racing and Nominations Assistant, Godolphin

“The RRP wrapped up a milestone year in 2025, marking the organization’s 15-year anniversary, the Thoroughbred Makeover’s 10-year anniversary, and the completion of a strategic planning process,” said RRP executive director, Kirsten Green. “As we set out in the next era of our work, the composition of our board and advisory council will be more important than ever, both in representation of the communities we serve and in expertise that will guide the execution of our strategic plan. We’re looking forward to working with our new members and thank our departing members for their investment of their time and talents.”
