Kelsey Marshall Hughes has served as Vice President of Partner Relations at Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners since the company’s inception in 2011.
From the beginning, Kelsey brought to Eclipse an unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of every equine athlete. She took it upon herself to follow their well-being even after their time under Eclipse’s management had ended, ensuring they continued to receive the level of care she believed every horse deserved.
From this compassion, the Eclipse Blue Moon Aftercare Program was established, and the fund has since grown into an independent 501(c)(3) organization. To date, it has helped retire former Eclipse horses across the United States as well as in Puerto Rico and has also contributed significant financial support to other equine-related charities.
In addition to Blue Moon, Kelsey serves on the board of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. In recognition of her professionalism and commitment to excellence, she was honored at the Godolphin TIEA Awards in the Katherine McKee Administration category in 2021.
Kelsey resides in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband, Byron. They are the proud parents of twin daughters to whom she hopes to pass on the same passion and dedication to the equine industry that shaped her own life.
