Megan joined the RRP team in May 2023 as the Development Manager, combining her years of professional experience in the nonprofit sector with her background in the Thoroughbred industry to grow the vision and impact of RRP’s aftercare initiatives. Originally from Maryland, Megan followed her love of horses to the University of Maryland, College Park, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree specializing in equine science and reproduction. It was there that her passion for the Thoroughbred unfolded, which led her to working in many facets of the industry, primarily in breeding, sales, and advocacy.
After living in Australia for several years working in creative direction and nonprofit development, Megan now resides in Richmond, Virginia with her husband and Aussie Shepherd. Megan enjoys spending her free time freelancing as a documentary photographer and filmmaker, and doing everything outdoorsy and adventurous, such as surfing, hiking, and paddle boarding on the river.
