As with any event, there were a few who did not make the course and retired early. Here’s To You, in 15th place coming into the day’s competition, ran out at the Normandy Bank and retired on the day. Relentless Pursuit had three refusals and was eliminated. Collection Pass and Madison Park both fell, both horse and rider are ok. The spirited “red head” chestnut mare, Expedience and rider Kaitlin Spurlock, had a freak accident at the Head of the Lake. She walked onto a trailer and was later diagnosed with a fractured foot. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and Kaitlin. She will undergo surgical evaluation on Sunday.
